Origin 2020
From Friends to Everyone
SURF RED didn't begin as a brand — it began as hoodies handed between friends on San Diego beaches, a quiet red wave moving through the inner circle. The idea was simple, and it never changed: patriotic surf apparel that actually looked good and meant something.
For years it stayed small, sold mostly between people who already knew the name. But the wave kept growing, and pretending it was still a secret started to feel selfish. So we opened the doors — same soul, a much bigger shore.
2020The Inner Circle
A handful of hoodies, printed in a garage and passed hand to hand along the San Diego shoreline. No storefront, no ad spend — just a quiet red wave moving through the people who mattered most.
2021–2023Word Spreads
Friends told friends. Local surfers, veterans, and weekend patriots started asking for their own. We kept printing late into the night, kept riding at dawn, and never let the soul of the brand slip for a second.
